P.S. If you haven’t noticed already, at the very end of each chapter there’s a bonus comic panel and a recipe you can try out yourself! One of our members, Ringo, tried out the dish featured last time, Egg Fluffy. Here’s what it looks like and what she has to say about it:

“As far as comments, I’d say this is a pretty easy recipe to make. But it’s really not a meal in and of itself. It’s a great addition to say a soup or a ramen though. Next time I make ramen I plan to make an Egg Fluffy on top of it. If you don’t mind a little elbow grease whipping the egg whites up then the texture is to die for! Definitely recommend this.”

P.P.S. Nandeyanen tried it too. His tip: “The white egg foam is actually supposed to be closer to a meringue. It’s not enough to just foam the egg.”

With this we finally reach the #400 milestone. We will have a new batch torrent for you guys sometime in the coming week, unfortunately it’s just not ready yet. Rather than hold back some good yuri releases, I decided to go without it. I’ll be sure to update you guys on when the 400 batch torrent is ready. I’d also like to thank all the readers who have supported us for so long. I can’t understate how big of an accomplishment it is to get to 400 is with a small team. If you noticed, this summer comiket was the first one where we actually didn’t need to ask for money to buy stuff. Every comiket we spend around $300-500, that’s in doujinshi cost, shipping, commission fees etc… And with other events throughout the year we usually drain through what we’ve received fairly quick. But thanks to you guys we’ve been able to sustain purchasing doujinshi on a constant basis with only donations. Big cheers to all of you for helping!

I also want to do a shout-out to our newer members. About 4-5 months ago we decided to recruit more people to help us out. We’re not a group that recruits very often, and we’ve never been open to recruitment for more than a day or two. I’ve always wanted this to be a fun project, a group where I can call everyone a friend. So whenever the idea of recruiting comes up, we often hesitate and debate if we even want to go through with it. It’s hard to say if you’ll find those cool people you’ll get along with just from reading applications. This is something I’ve never told the new people, but myself and Nandeyanen have always despised recruiting because of this. We’d enjoy struggling to get stuff done with people we like rather than to recruit a bad apple that helps us get stuff out faster.

But luckily, our last recruitment has gone very well. I am very happy to have Ringo, Firelily, Mae and Shinju on our team. They’ve been a lot of fun to work with and I enjoy talking to them every day. It is no secret that I haven’t even watched a full anime series in about 2 years. I’ve been busy and just haven’t been motivated in quite some time. And before recruiting I was probably down to typesetting something once a month. Most of my time was spent blog posting, uploading releases, qcing doujins and doing stuff that generally isn’t typesetting. But thanks to the new people who have been putting in a lot of hard work, they’ve allowed me to get more done. They’ve also inspired me to try harder and to get better at what I do. This month I might actually manage to get 5 things typeset, surely a record for 2015. So my hat’s off to the new people and my fellow staff members who have been with me for years. You guys are truly an inspiration.

From Nande – DAMN! 400 releases. As Chansu loves to remind me, at one point years ago I told him we shouldn’t start a yuri-only scan group cause there’s no way we’d have enough material to sustain it. Now we have so much stuff to work on it’s more a question of whether or not we can finish all of it before the next doujin event rolls around. Somehow after all this time none of this stuff is boring. Scanning is poop though, I will say that. But I always look forward to the latest batch of yuri and wonder how people will react to it. We’ve mostly moved on from being nothing but Meguca now, and are doing lots of original stories along with a pair of serialized stories, which is very cool. Godoka only knows what the yuri future holds, but I know I’ll be having fun for every bit of it! Even if the entire staff bullies me and doesn’t even like armpits or feet and likes gross butts.
